Construction looks to be almost done in the city of Thompson, with just a few delays with the snow.

Selkirk Avenue which has been under construction for most of the summer is the last road to be under construction in the city, but it is open to vehicles. Only the sidewalk is going through construction at the moment. With the opening of Selkirk, that means Public Lane is back to a one way street.

Other construction taking place is on the outskirts of the city by the CN station. All construction is scheduled to be done by the end of October, but can be delayed with bad weather continuing.

With most work getting wrapped up and just minor inconveniences, the city will be looking at areas to work on for the next year.

Nothing has been planned so far on what areas will be under construction next summer in the city.

Discussions will start to take place this month and will be finalized when the 2017 budget is determined.
