Tomorrow marks the start of the annual Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign.
The Salvation Army in Thompson has four locations, Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, Safeway and the Liquor Store.
The Kettles, which serve as the main fundraiser for the Army, are out as of eleven this morning. The Salvation Army in Canada website has a list of frequently asked questions when it comes to Kettles, as it's a term not everyone may be familiar with.
All the money raised stays here in Thompson, and goes towards keeping the food bank stocked. If you don't have any change or cash to donate at the physicall kettle location, donations can be made online at fillthekettle.com
The official kettle kick-off event will be taking place on Saturday at the Walmart kettle, starting at 1:30pm.
