The Wheaties had a weekend to forget.

The Major Junior squad from Brandon dropped Friday evening’s gameto the Red Deer Rebels before falling to Swift Current on Saturday.

The Firday game saw the Wheat Kings fourth-year defenceman Kale Clague add three helpers as Brandon fell 5-4 to the Rebels in the shootout.

Saturday saw the Wheaties welcome the Swift Current Broncos to Westman Place. The Broncos scored early and often, and ended the first period with a 5-0 lead. They would go on to win 7-2.

The Wheat Kings currently sit fifth in the WHL's east division.
