Manitoba Metis Federation

The Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF) is the official democratic and self-governing political representative for the Metis Nation’s Manitoba Metis Community.

 

The MMF promotes the political, social, cultural, and economic interests and rights of the Metis in Manitoba. In addition, the MMF delivers programs and services to our community including: child and family services, justice, housing, youth, education, human resources, economic development and natural resources.

 

BGC Thompson

Their Mission:  To Provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

BGC Thompson has served the community since 1993, reaching out to over 500 children and youth each year through after-school, weekend and summer programs.

Heritage North Museum

In 1990, Heritage North Museum was incorporated.  Our mission is to promote and preserve the heritage and history relating to Thompson and area.  We launched a Geocache site in June 2007.  It has attracted visitors and hits from all over the world.

 

Spirit Way

Spiritway is a 2.5 km walking and biking pathway from the Heritage North Museum to the Miles Hart Bridge. Spirit Way has won 4 awards and has been designated a Manitoba Star Attraction and one of the Top 20 Places to Visit in Manitoba!

Thompson Neighbourhod Renewal Corporation is committed to working with communities to provide a place of empowerment to influence positive changes.

 

The Thompson Trailbreakers

This volunteer group grooms and maintains snowmobile trails in Thompson and area for the enjoyment of snowmobilers near and far.
