                           One (1) Full Time Permanent Position


Summary of Position:
Reporting to the Data Coordinator, the Data Clerk Supervisor will oversee the Data functions to ensure efficiency and compliance. This includes supervising, supporting and effectively communicating with the Data team and maintain a positive working relationship when addressing problems and coming up with solutions.   Responsibilities may include developing forms and spreadsheets, data entry, assisting with audits, identify/address training needs, etc. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the Agency Policy & Procedure Manual. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be able to locate inadequacies and discrepancies in the system. Qualifications:

  • Haul gravel, water/fuel, or pieces of crusher equipment, small equipment for construction, camp gear etc.
  • Operate end-dump, belly dump, and side dump trailers
  • Tie down and properly secure loads within compliance and safety regulations.
  • Maintain paperwork relating to time, pre-trip, logs etc.
  • Keep records of materials or products transported.
  • Ensure weigh scale tickets are properly filled out and signed by customer when possible.
  • Back up semi into bins for loading and into pocket to unload.
  • Back semi up in truck chute to be loaded and back semi up to loading pocket to unload.
  • Follow safe working procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Mine Site Coordinator manages day-to-day operations and serves as the primary liaison between our on-site work crews, our Vale site representatives and our internal management team.  Acting as the central point of contact, this role aligns client work priorities with crew execution to maximize productivity, maintain strict safety compliance, and ensure seamless communication across all stakeholders.

  • Monitor production rates to ensure projects are on target for safety, budget & schedule.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture within the work group by encouraging the identification of hazards and developing quality corrective actions by implementing effective changes to procedures, training, and equipment when deemed necessary.
  • Manage the safety program through the identification of safety concerns on the job site and instituting effective corrective actions.
  • Monitor, track, and promote daily and monthly safety activities with the goal of zero harm as a guiding principle.
  • Identification of any changes in conditions which will require a change in the scope of work and notify the respective Manager.
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that all legal, customer and company specifications are adhered to.
  • Record information such as personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports.
  • Promote and assist in the training & development of all employees. Schedule & coordinate site specific training for employees and subcontractors.
  • Manages a program of preventative maintenance and repair of equipment in field in accordance with production needs and company policies and objectives.
  • Participate and complete annual performance assessments for direct reports including supervisors, operators, drivers and laborers.
  • Manage employee behaviours through use of corrective actions by utilizing coaching and counselling and  disciplinary actions as required.
  • Other similar duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and organize work.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry; surface mining experience considered an asset. 
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to work well with all personnel.
  • Working knowledge of the Mines and Regulations Act & Workplace Safety & Health Act considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
