102.9 CHTM’s  35th Annual Trade Show and Sale is slated for May 1st to 3rd, 2026 in the C.A. Nesbitt Arena at the TRCC.

 

If you’re a home business looking to establish a customer-base or a business with a storefront looking to reach a wider audience, this is the time to do it.

 

Every year, 102.9 CHTM’s Trade Show & Sale brings in hundreds of visitors daily.  That translates into thousands of visitors in total over the three-day event.  

 

We don't charge for visitors to attend, so they can come by as often as they like - and believe us, they do!

McDonald’s

 

Want to do some good this year? Stop by the McDonald’s booth to look into contributing to the Ronald McDonald House Charity and McHappy Day. The Ronald McDonald House Charity is an organization that provides a temporary home for rural Manitoban and out of province families with a child requiring treatment at a nearby hospital. McHappy Day is charity driven program where a portion of the proceeds from every menu item sold on May 6th goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charity and other children’s charities across Canada.

 

 

Thompson Seniors Community Resource Council

 

Come stop by the Thompson Seniors Community Resource Council to hear about a good cause at the Trade Show!    There will be a 50/50 draw to raise money, event sign-up sheets and memorabilia on display.   Volunteers are always welcome!

 

 

Rylen Solski Memorial Fishing Derby

 

Anyone with plans to fish will want to sign up for the Rylen Solski Memorial Fishing Derby! All of the Derby’s entrance fees will be donated to Kawasaki Disease Canada in order to create awareness about the disease. The booth at the trade show will provide information about the Derby and about Kawasaki Disease and will be selling hoodies dedicated to the cause. There will be a 50/50 draw.

 

 

Thompson Neighborhood Renewal Corporation

 

The Thompson Neighborhood Renewal Corporation wants to work with the community to promote a place of empowerment to influence positive change and to provide healthy homes and a healthy community to the residents of Thompson. They encourage you to stop by their booth and learn about their services, ask about their Small Grant Fund, take part in their community survey and pick up a copy of The Citizen.

 

 

Thompson Humane Society

 

The Thompson Humane Society will be at the Trade Show providing information about their work and the many animals currently residing there looking for their new home. They will be answering questions about their adoption process, their Lay Vaccination program, their store, and some of the other services provided by the Thompson Humane Society such as boarding, grooming.  So if you are looking for a new animal companion for your family, you’ll want to go check them out!

 

Manitoba Wildfire Service

 

Want to learn more about preventing fires? The Manitoba Wildfire Services booth will be promoting their Fire Smart campaign as well as going into detail about the City of Thompson’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan. As an added treat for the kids, Smokey Bear and their new mascot, Ember the Fire Fox, will be out for all three days to help teach them fire safety. 

 

 

7th Ave Distribution

Marlies Day Spa & Frank’s 3D Print Shop

 

Marlies Day Spa is the perfect stop for those looking to pamper themselves as they provide a wide range of skin care products. They will also provide information on their mobile and esthetic services for those interested in a full spa treatment.

 

Meanwhile, Frank’s 3D Print Shop is a custom 3D printing and design service for anyone who wants to get a cool gift for a loved one or even a little something for themselves. 3d printed toys and statues can be bought and custom orders can be placed. All products are made in Thompson.

Sweets Concession

 

Walking around the arenas checking out all the great booths is hard work. Well, maybe not so hard, but it will definitely be a lot easier with some delicious treats in hand. The Sweets Concession booth will have fudge, cotton candy, candy apples, lemonade, and sno cones for sale to make the Trade Show experience that much sweeter.    They always have some new flavours of fudge to try out, so no matter how much you’ve bought before, there’s always more to try.  Best of all, their fudge freezes well and can be brought out for special treats throughout the year.

 

 

Name Your Nuts

 

For those wanting a tasty treat, look no further then the Name Your Nuts booth. They have all kinds of assorted roast nuts, chocolate covered toffee and other goodies to snack on throughout your tour of the Trade Show!   Enjoy the nuts on their own or add them to your baking or cooking projects.

Stitch It Up is offering a variety of hand stitched leather and fur goods, including mitts, moccasins, gauntlets, hats, toques and shawls for sale.  They’re made to handle our northern winters and are ideal for anyone who spends time outdoors, whether you’re out for the day or just heading to work or school.   Consider picking up some early Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or even Christmas gifts.   It’s never too early to start shopping for something special.

 

Thompson Junior Soccer Association

 

Kids looking into a sports activity to take part in might be interested in the TJSA booth at the Trade Show! The Thompson Junior Soccer Association will be participating at the Trade Show this year and they want to register youths under 18 for the upcoming season. The TJSA is also looking to engage adults interested in volunteering to coach and be referees.

 

 

YWCA Thompson

 

The YWCA is more than just a safe place to stay. The Y’s Women’s Centre brings women and girls together to build a supportive, empowering environment. Come stop by and learn all about what the YWCA does for the community.

 

They host a variety of free programs for all adults such as Steps to Success; an adult literacy and workplace essential skills training program as well as the Assessment Centre if you’re considering upgrading, preparing for the GED exam, returning to the workforce and more.

 

They also host the annual Walk-A-Mile-in-Her-Shoes walk and celebrate International Women’s Day.

 

 

Calm Air International LP

 

If you want information about Calm Air flights in Thompson, Calm Air International LP is a good stop on the Trade Show journey. They will be providing some swag for visitors to their booth.   And be sure to ask about their door prize.

 

 

Simonhouse Bible Camp

 

It’s great to have the kids home from school over the summer, but If you are looking for something fun for the kids to do, check out the Simon House Bible Camp booth.  They offer summer camp programs for kids ages 6 to 17.   They also have financial assistance programs available, so that every kid has a chance at a time of fun and friendship this summer.

 

PB&J

 

PB & J is a great place to shop with all sorts of fun items from 3D Printer garden markers and toys, to building play sets. Hoodies and t-shirts are also available for sale, along with toys and other collectibles.   This is a booth where you’ll find a new treasure every time you drop by.

Learn more about what’s happening around the City of Thompson.  Stop by and talk to those working at the City of Thompson’s booth. They will be on hand to provide information about their programs and services, upcoming city events and projects in the works, and so much more for those curious about what’s going on around the city.

 

Canadian Firearms Program

 

The Canadian Firearms Program will be on hand at the Trade Show to provide firearm applications (PAL), safety information and to take photos for applications for anyone looking to purchase a firearm in the future!

 

Learn about public safety, safe storage, safety courses, transports, transfers, licensing and gun ownership.   They can also help with completing applications and renewals immediately, or at a later date if additional information is required.   

 

 

Thompson Chamber of Commerce

 

For those interested in joining, stop by and check out the Thompson Chamber of Commerce booth. They will be providing membership applications and information about the Chamber of Commerce such as group insurance and affinity programs. The Thompson Crisis Centre is about promoting healthy relationships and if you want to learn more about what they do, stop by their booth at the Trade Show. They will have information available about their yearly events, mandate and services and can provide the public information about domestic violence.   No one has to suffer in silence or alone.  The Thompson Crisis Centre is available to help 24-7.

 

Volker Beckmann

 

Volker Beckmann will be at the Trade Show to sell copies of his book, ‘The Spirit Way Story’, that highlights the Spirit Way Pathway and the 18 points of interests around Thompson.  It’s an excellent read for any Thompsonite or for those unfamiliar with the unique treasure that is Thompson, Manitoba.

This Moment Counselling & Psychotherapy & Inner Yoga Therapy

 

A private practice counselor in Thompson is offering in-person and virtual counseling and mental health supports to individuals 14 and up.
