An eight-million-dollar provincial investment will help create a new safe space for Indigenous women and their children in Thompson.
The facility will operate around the clock, offering temporary accommodation for those at risk of violence.
Thompson City Manager Anthony McInnis outlines what the building will include.
Residents will also have access to cultural programming, parenting supports and help finding long-term housing and other services.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2028.
