Thompson RCMP are urging drivers to slow down and watch for pedestrians following concerns about unsafe passing at crosswalks.

Métis Special Constable Rob Cleveland says he’s seen drivers passing vehicles that have stopped to let someone cross.

He’s also reminding motorists to stay alert around schools, where several children may be crossing at once.

Cleveland is also encouraging drivers to leave enough space behind other vehicles, following a recent collision near the high school.
