The Thompson Recycling Centre processed more than 436-thousand kilograms of material by the end of August, but lower prices for those materials are putting pressure on its finances.

Thompson City Manager Anthony Mcinnis says the centre outlined several challenges at the October fifth council meeting.

Mcinnis says prices paid for recyclable materials are starting to rise again. He’s encouraging residents to keep making the effort to recycle.
