Manitoba researchers will represent the province and country at this weekend’s Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin.
The Canadian contingent to the summit is around 200 strong, according to Dr. H.J. Wieden, Associate Vice-President of the University of Manitoba.
Here he addresses the benefit of their attendance at the event.
Wieden said two University of Manitoba researchers are taking homegrown ideas to this world stage of science and innovation.
One involves drone technology designed to tackle challenges in the North, including connectivity, climate resilience and security.
The second addresses inter-generational type 2 diabetes in First Nations communities.
