Families planning a visit to the Northern Health Region’s obstetrics units are being asked to follow seasonal visitor restrictions.

The health region says the measures are intended to help prevent the spread of illness during flu and RSV season.

A maximum of two visitors are allowed at a time per patient, and all visitors must be free of illness.

Visitors are also encouraged to be up to date on their immunizations.

Restrictions also apply to children under five. Families planning to bring young children should contact the unit beforehand to confirm the rules and any exceptions.
